Michael Huey joined TNG in March 2019, bringing nearly two decades of experience in law enforcement as a coordinator and analyst. Throughout his career, he specialized in forensics, traffic operations, investigations, and prosecution units. Huey worked closely with agencies such as the county crime lab and the district attorney’s office, where he managed an innovative pilot program leveraging advanced DNA technology across local, state, and national databases to solve crimes.

After transitioning from law enforcement, Huey shifted his expertise to pre-employment background investigations for public agencies. These in-depth investigations include verifying employment history, residential records, and personal references to ensure a thorough vetting process. His work complies with the State of California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST), mitigating liability and maintaining regulatory standards for hiring agencies.

Huey holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a POST certification in background investigations. In addition to his professional accomplishments, he is an active member of his daughter’s high school sports board.

He lives with his wife and two daughters in Yorba Linda, California.
