Joe Vincent is a Partner and Vice President for Investigations at TNG, where he is widely regarded as an expert in education civil rights compliance, investigations (including professional misconduct, student conduct, Title VI, Title VII, Title IX, and ADA/504), and advice and consulting on policy, process, and structure. His extensive expertise includes employment matters, policy development and implementation, and a unique focus on the complexities of healthcare education and power dynamics.

With a multidisciplinary background spanning a broad range of industries, Vincent brings versatility and an innate ability to meet clients where they are. He frequently acts as an external investigator, adjudicator, consultant, and expert witness in legal cases affecting the liability of schools, colleges, and universities. His work has been upheld in federal civil litigation, highlighting his procedural integrity, neutrality, and reliability.

Known for his ability to inspire and educate, Vincent has redefined traditional sensitivity training. Recognizing the inadequacy of available education for employees sanctioned for misconduct, he developed TNG’s Mentorship in Professionalism and Appropriate Conduct (MPAC) program. This post-remedial education initiative emphasizes mentorship over punishment, fosters accountability, and encourages meaningful dialogue, empowering trainees to engage in the resolution process confidently.

Vincent is a leading voice on Title IX and civil rights compliance as co-host of ATIXA’s podcast, More Likely Than Not—the perfect platform to dissect legal concepts with his signature dad-joke energy.

Before joining TNG, Vincent served as a Title IX Coordinator for a graduate healthcare university system. He created the widely adopted Power Imbalance training program, now used by numerous U.S. medical schools. Additionally, he has taught courses for Truman State University on law, morality, and the American Legal System.

Vincent is a respected thought leader in civil rights and education, providing practical, results-driven solutions through his consulting and trainings. Known for his ability to identify patterns and make sound decisions, he is a highly effective investigator.

As a seasoned educator, accomplished public speaker, and published author, Vincent has made substantial contributions to the field. He penned the influential guide, A Blueprint for Conducting a Fair, Legal, Comprehensive Internal Civil Rights Investigation, published by the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR) in The Higher Education Workplace. Additionally, he is a contributing author for the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), where he shares expert insights on resolving civil rights grievances effectively and appropriately.

Vincent holds an M.L.S. from West Virginia University and a B.S. in Political Science from Truman State University. He lives in Missouri with his wife and kids.
