Prior to her work at Auburn, Katherine was the Director of Student Conduct at Saint Louis University (SLU). During her tenure at SLU, she directed and oversaw the University’s student conduct process that averaged 1500 cases annually and included violations of Title IX and other civil rights laws. In her roles at SLU and Auburn, Katherine served as a Title IX hearing officer and facilitator for more than 100 cases.
Prior to her almost fifteen years in higher education, Katherine served 22 years on active duty with the United States Coast Guard serving in multiple assignments including marine casualty investigating officer, JAG Officer, and Special Courts Martial Military Judge.
