Structured Violence Risk Assessment

Assess an individual’s potential for violence with TNG. We are available for urgent concerns in schools, campuses, or organizations. We offer a comprehensive analysis using NABITA’s Structured Interview for Violence Risk Assessment (SIVRA-35), a specialized 35-item tool.

Our approach includes in-depth interviews, examining both risk and protective factors associated with violence. By evaluating Students of Concern through interviews, scrutinizing their social media presence, and examining their criminal history, we produce a detailed report exceeding 100 pages. This report includes insights, recommendations, and supporting evidence, such as quotes from interviews and screenshots of online activity.

This service offers immediate and cost-effective benefits. If time constraints or a lack of trained staff prevent you from conducting an assessment, TNG is ready to support you. Even clients familiar with SIVRA-35 may entrust us with the evaluation to mitigate risk and liability. We assume responsibility for the assessment process to encourage your team’s peace of mind and your community’s safety.

The Structured Violence Risk Assessment includes the following steps:

  • Data review: We review existing incident reports, BIT referrals, case management notes, and other relevant documents from the institution. We assess social media, criminal histories, and outside information as needed.
  • SIVRA-35 Interview: We interview the individual of concern to facilitate a violence risk assessment using the NABITA SIVRA-35 tool.
  • Interview of other parties: As needed, we conduct interviews with witnesses or other stakeholders, including parents, teachers/faculty, etc.
  • SIVRA-35 Report: We provide a detailed write-up, including an analysis of the risk and protective factors assessed during the interview and through other information gathered.
